MANWEEK 2005
This is the first time that four conferences
already consolidated in the field of networks and systems management are
organized together in the same location and the same dates in order to
strengthen the links and synergies between their respective supporting
communities. MANWEEK 2005 is the initiative enabling this event, which organizes
other activities for the purpose of a more complete view of the involved
problems.
The driving line of MANWEEK 2005 are the
challenges posed by the management of ubiquitous networks and services as it is
reflected in the central subjects of the constituent conferences. In fact, the
sixteen edition of the
“Distributed
Systems Operation and Management” (DSOM) focus on the management of Ambient
Networks, whilst the problems presented by self-managed systems, a key concept
for the former, are in the core of the call for the seventh “Symposium on Self
Stabilizing Systems” (SSS). This area is complemented by a workshop on the
interactions and complementarities between the Autonomous Management Paradigm
and the GRID in the framework of the first workshop on “Autonomic Grid
Networking and Management” (AGNM). On the other hand, the “Management Multimedia
Networks and Services” (MMNS) will offer its eight edition presenting the
innovations in models, architectures and technologies enabling the proliferation
of the new services and particularly context-aware services. Finally, the
operations and maintenance of next generation networks, the complexity of the
interaction between networks and service providers and the tradeoffs between
costs and performance will be addressed by the fifth “IP Operations & Management
International Workshop (IPOM).
CALL FOR PATRONS
The
Executive Committee of MANWEEK 2005 invites companies and organisations to
participate as patrons of the event. The expected national and international
audience, guaranteed for the celebration of the previous editions in the
majority of the conferences, constitutes a relevant exhibition forum. Patrons
will have the opportunity to contact with hundreds of international experts and
to exhibit to a wide range of the industry, research centers and universities of
all over the world, a sample of which is shown hereafter. The envisaged
collaboration levels allow for different involvement and visibility. Please ask
us at the indicated contact point for more details.
